I have a New HP Desktop PC    and an older Dell Monitor.   The Dell monitor has been connected to and Older HP Desktop.  The connecting cord does not match the new PC   Is there an adapter cord...?

If the Dell monitor has a DVI input and your PC has an HDMI output, you can buy a HDMI to DVI cable and connect to the Dell monitor that way.
