It can be done, but it won't be easy and probably will be expensive assuming you can even find the parts you need to add one.
Below is the link to a model that has an ODD:
Looks like you need the following parts:
799541-001 | Latch Assembly - P Slim ODD |
N05337-001 | ODD BEZEL,HOLMESI 22C1 |
L89731-001 | ODD DVD+/-RW SM DL 9.5mm Slim Tray |
You'll have to open up the PC and see if you also need the SATA power and data cables since your PC only comes with a 256 GB NVMe SSD.
Those are listed in the above parts list too.
You can check the HP parts store to see if any of the parts are available.
