pavilion s5-1110
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

purchased a ss hard drive to add to or replace hard drive on my pavilion s5-1110.  Seagate info stated it will work on my computer, but don't find a place or ss cables.  Can I just use original cable and connect like the original hard drive.  Thanks much for your help.

hi

this one ?

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-slimline-s5-1100-desktop-pc-series/5146457/model/51...

4x SATA 2.0 connectors

750 GB Hard drive SuperMulti DVD Burner drive

so you have at least two free sata slots
the sata connector is not supplied, you have to buy another one

There is obviously only one HDD slot
so either you find a way to fix the sata SSD, or you have to indeed sacrifice the HDD, if you disconnect the HDD, then, yes you can use the cable for the SSD

The SSD being blank, you have to find a way to install windows
So, either with software, make a copy of the HDD, which will be transferred to the SSD
either use a windows installation medium, dvd usb, to install it on the SSD!
