You may have some problems.

The spec for the MT3500 lists the  i5-3470.   You may need to upgrade the bios to 8.14

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pro-3500-microtower-pc/5270849

If you already have the system and an older CPU then no problem: upgrad the bios then install the new CPU.

If you buy a motherboard and the chip then possibly the system will not boot and you need to buy an older CPU to boot and then upgrade the bios.   Just a guess.

The other problem I see is that the list of graphics boards here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pro-3500-microtower-pc/5270849/document/c03364089#AbT0

all have legacy (non UEFI) bios.  That list is the same as the list for my Pro3400 and I had to use a mod'ed bios and "hacked" installer to get my GTX-1060 to work.  I googled around and did not find anything like that for pro3500.  Sorry.

Have you bought the system yet?   If not then a pro3400 with cupertino 2 motherboard can work with the 1050ti after a bios mod.  I recommend a newer system in any  event not just because  the power supply is weak.
