Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP 800 G1 Tower and i want to updtae to i7 4790k.

 

I know that the chipset is able to read this cpu but i cant find imformation about the 800 G1's motherboard.

Below is the link to the HP quickspecs for your PC.

 

Microsoft Word - HP_EliteDesk_800_G1_Business_PC_Series_QuickSpecs_12.03.13.docx

 

The list of supported processors can be found starting on page 6.

 

I don't see that the i7-4790k processor is supported in the 800 G1 MT.

 

The person in this discussion installed an i7-4790K in the 600 G1 despite it not being listed as supported, and it worked fine, so if that is the case, it should also work in the 800 G1.
