Can i upgrade my laptop's ram from 8 gb to 16 gb?

Im not sure if my laptop will accept the ram or if the ram upgrade will boost performance or if my laptop is capped at 8 gb.

If your notebook has an Intel core processor, it will support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 Mhz CL22 memory.

Yes i have an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 2.42 GHz.

Then you should be fine installing 16 GB of memory in your notebook.

HP only has the service manual for the original 15-dw0000 model series, but it should be of help to you for opening up the notebook to upgrade the memory.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that even the older model series with the Intel Core processors supported 2 x 8 GB of memory.

The only difference is that your notebook uses DDR4-3200 MHZ CL22 memory.
