PC originally came with Win7 but has been upgraded to Win10. It apparently has some functions that operate at 32-bit and some at 64-bit.

There are no hardware upgrades you can do to your PC to have it meet Microsoft's minimum W11 hardware requirements.

Not only does the processor not meet the hardware requirements, but it does not have a TPM 2.0 security device.

The good news is if you are interested in doing an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 you can, but you will have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks.

Watch this video for the easiest way that I know of to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 25H2:

How to Install Windows 11 25H2 on Unsupported PCs (New Easiest Method)

Thanks, Paul. Wasn't sure about the TPM 2.0. I also have a Win11 laptop, but find the old desktop more comfortable and convenient for most of my needs. I'll check out the video when I get a little time.

You're very welcome.

I prefer to use desktop PCs as well, along with a full size keyboard with the large keys.

I put W11 Pro on a HP 6200 Pro MT desktop that came with an i5-2400 processor and it works fine.

It does not have a TPM 2.0 device or support secure boot.

It's now running W11 25H2 because I initially upgraded it to W11 a few years ago.
