Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does anyone know a part number(s) for an upgrade from a l70042-002 180W power supply?

I bought a "standard" PSU thinking it was going to fit... NOPE, everything has to be proprietary. A real bummer!

I am upgrading the graphics card and it consumes 100W.

Computer model: TP01-1337c

Product no: 1J7L1AA#ABA

Please and thank you

@cobrawebdesigns,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-1337c (1J7L1AA) according to: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=1J7L1AA, has a 180 watt power supply with part number L81008-800 ("Power Supply - 180W ENT20 Gold").

According to https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06955259, your desktop is fitted with an Erica3 (SSID: 87D6) motherboard. According to this HP power supply spreadsheet: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model..., this 310 watt power supply (p/n: L64961-800) is compatible.

They are not cheap.  You can get one for $150 here: https://www.impactcomputers.com/l64961-800.html.

However, for comparison's sake, you could buy it directly from HP (in stock) for $248 here: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=l64961-800.

And there is a 400 watt power supply which according to the same spreadsheet is also compatible: p/n: L04618-800. You can get one from eBay starting at $110, see here: hp l04618-800: Search Result | eBay.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
