Compaq Evo D510 SFF
Microsoft Windows XP

I have a Compaq Evo D510 SFF from around 2002 that I would like to update the BIOS version of. I looked all over the Internet, even the HP driver and software page and found nothing. All the BIOS utilities were for saving to a diskette, changing the boot splash, etc. But no updates. Does anyone know where I can find an update? I have a few hardware issues, such as that my recently upgraded CPU has newer processor stepping and microcode patch that the current BIOS version doesn't support, that could be solved by updating the BIOS. If anyone knows, I would really appreciate it if you would tell me! Thanks!

Thank you so much! The current version is 2.17 so this will be the correct upgrade. I appreciate it!

You're very welcome.

You will need a FDD (USB or internal) to run the BIOS update.

Thanks for letting me know.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

The instructions to create the bootable FDD containing the BIOS update, as well as how to update the BIOS using the bootable disk you made, can be found on that info link I posted.
