I'm replacing an amd athlon 2 cpu with phenom 2 cpu. I put in nvidia quadro graphics card. When I put in the phenom 2 I get 15 beeps in groups of 3 then a red light flashes in groups of 3. Nothing else happens

First, please make sure that your HP Compaq 6005 Pro Base Model Small Form Factor PC has the newest BIOS version:

Please specify which Phenom II processor you are having problems with. One possibility is that a couple of these CPUs may not be compatible:
Another, more likely cause for the error you encountered, could be that you got a defective Phenom II CPU.
Btw, the best processor for your HP Compaq 6005 Pro Base Model Small Form Factor PC as fitted with a Hewlett-Packard 3047h motherboard, is the Phenom II X4 980, such as this example.
Also, the Phenom II X4 Bxx processors are compatible, like this User shows with a Phenom II X4 B97.

Please check again: the latest BIOS update for your desktop is from May 2012.
You could try to clear CMOS and see if this resolves your issue: HP Compaq 6005 Pro Microtower, Small Form Factor, and Ultra-Slim Desktop PCs - Statement of Volatili....
