I decided to upgrade my GPU a few days ago. I also upgraded my PSU for this GPU.
I tried everything I could find. I unistalled the intergrated GPU, did a clean sweep of all previous and current drivers. PCIEx16 is enabled, disabled firewalls and anti-malware, The device manager doesnt detect it but a "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" appears. i tried reinstalling that, and it recoginzes my gpu, but there still is a problem. Fans work as well.
My Specs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04850072
Any help or suggestions is appreciated. This is giving me a huge headache.

(Also: did you read user's comments there - these marked as '1'?)
The user's comments? Marked as '1'? The reviews for the gpu?

Is there any chance that you can try another card?
No, I dont have another card. Does this mean returning the GPU?

It's just my impression - provided by you screenshot indicates that proprietary GPU cannot be recognised - which usually means it's not working..
As I'm not hands-on that much, perhaps @grzwacz who lurks here or on Gaming section frequently has some better ideas worth exploring at this stage?

Hi @SortaMean
Try disabling secure boot in BIOS and enable legacy boot and see if the card is recognized. Install the drivers.
Hope it helps,
David

After disabling secure boot and enabling legacy boot, can you check that the BIOS actually saves these changes. After rebooting and going back into BIOS are the changes you made still there?
Let me know,

Yeah, I'll let you know when I get home. (In 10 hours that is)
