I recently ordered a 16 gb Intel optane module off of Amazon and I am wondering if it will even work with the computer's motherboard. I saw that when I bought the pc off of Amazon that there was an option for optane memory to be installed.

@Farsat

Its specs

It currently has One M.2 socket 3, 2280 type for SSD which is suitable for Intel Optane BUT If I was you, I would not do that, I would put 1TB of M.2 NVMe SSD to it and keep it as primary storage, that is much, much, much better than 16GB Intel Optane. The following M.2 drive is a good candidate

I was thinking about putting an ssd in my system but I didn't want to go through the hassle of reinstalling windows. So you're basically saying that it can work?
