OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0000i (236B0AV)

So long story short, my old kit of ram that came shipped with the desktop (2x16Gb DDR4-3200) died and I had to buy a new kit, (KF432C16BBAK2/32) the new ram is practically identical to the old ram.

However - whereas I was able to overclock the old ram with OMEN hub to 3200MHz I am unable to do so with the new ram, there is not even a tab in the OMEN hub app for ram overclocking.

So not only the option is missing from the OMEN hub to overclock my ram but when I enter the bios and select the XMP profile 1 for the ram, the PC boot loops, beeps and I have to reset CMOS.

I even tried a custom profile by changing all the timings and such but it still doesn't work. Despite everything I do I cannot get my ram to run at 3200MHz - only the default 2400MHz works.

I don't know if I should just replace the motherboard and I would greatly appreciate some help.

Do you have two different branded memory modules installed?

In regard to "the new ram is practically identical to the old ram.", memory modules are either identical or not.

 There is no "practically id e n t i c a l  " w h e n  i t  c o m e s  t o  m e m o r y  m o d u l e s .
