Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I recently bought a Z440 board PN FMB-1401.  I installed it into  fractal design case.  I am having a hard time finding a pin out page to figure out where to wirebthe power switch.

HP has adopted a somewhat standard Pin header block for their lines of workstations from the xw workstation line up to the older "Z 2/4/8 series (don't know about the new "Z" G series line)

i also strongly recommend you try to reuse the original front I/O cables from the z440 as this will save you quite a bit of time and effort

@JA1988 , welcome to the Community.

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the workstation.  On Page 5, HP Z440 Workstation component, it lists all of the connectors.  I don't see any indication of a front power switch.  The only one that I see is for the Rear Power/LED, # 27.  This is the best information that is available to us.

I used the UI assembly you recommended.  The PC powers on. There is a white LED on both the motherboard and Front UI assembly that is solid white. The system will not post. Reseated all components and still no post. Tried 1 stick of ram at a time with no change.

System info

Fractal Design Refine R5 case

Z440 motherboard

Xeon E5-1650v4

32 gigs registeres ecc ddr4 ram

550 watt power supply and power cable adapters for both the 18 pin power connector and ram power connector

Do not remember what card but an older graphics card that does not have any power connectors and an RTX 2060

1 TB sata SSD

I opened the link to what you have shared. I am at the point where I have a white constant LED which means it is on. There are no other LED's on or blinking or any sounds from the speaker? Where do I go from here with what you shared? I dont see anything that will give me "Post error messages" on the board.

Do I replaced the Motherboard? Do I replace the processor?

i would install a pci-e video card that is known working first,

preferably one that does not use a GPU power connector

if possible connect a pc speaker to the motherboard header so you can hear the beep code(s)

low end cpu's are quite cheap so i would do that before a motherboard

I am currently trying to source a speaker. But I have put two seperate known good graphics cards in the PCI-E slots.  One did not need a separate power cable and other card did.  Neither card work in either slot when the computer was turned on.
