Hello people, I want to know if I could transfer the motherboard from my hp prodesk 800 g1 sff into a hp compaq 8000 elite cmt case? Would the motherboard fit? And would the cables of the 8000's case match the motherboard with no issues?

Thank you

Hi:

What you want to do would not be possible.

The only motherboards that would fit from newer PCs in the 8000 Elite CMT are from the 8100 Elite CMT, 8200 Elite CMT and the 8300 Elite CMT.

I see, so could it be possible to fit it a prodesk 800 g1 tower version? They're from the same series so it can't be far fetched no?

It is rather far-fetched because as you can see the 800 G1 is much different looking than the 8xxx Elte series and the ports would not line up in the 8000 Elite case.

You might have better luck putting the 800 G1 SFF motherboard in an 800 G1 MT case, but I wouldn't be able to help you with that because I still think some things won't line up properly.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it
