Hi everyone! I am about to aquire a very cheap hp ProDesk 600 g5 SFF, and I am looking to upgrade the PSU for the machine and eventually find a way to put in a 4060 lowprofile in it as well. Been looking up for a while replacements for the psu as I will need 1 6+2 pcie cable. I've become unsure wether or not I can just slap any Flexatx in it due to the motherboard requiring HP's specific psu? or am I totally wrong on this aspect?
Best regards and thanks in advance, T

Welcome to our HP community forum!
Unfortunately, there are no power supply upgrades available for an HP ProDesk 600 G5 SFF. If you can, you would be far better off with an HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF, where you can upgrade this SFF with a 400 and even a 500-watt power supply.

Many HP computers require model-specific proprietary power supplies -meaning, they are not compatible with industry standard ATX power supplies. There are HP power supply upgrades for many HP computers, but not for some, the HP ProDesk 600 G5 SFF being one of them.

Not just size -though the HP ProDesk 600 G5 SFF's power supply is smaller-sized than other SFF models power supplies, but also model dependent. Like I said in one of my previous posts, an HP ProDesk 600 G5 SFF is not a good candidate at all for a meaningful graphics card upgrade.

You could try a low-profile RX 6400 in an HP ProDesk 600 G5 SFF, as a 180-watt power supply should be able to power it.
