Changing from VGA to DVI

Hello there

Some days back I started getting problems like the VGA is not connecting i checked that the cable is alright so I think this might be issue with the VGA ports.

My PC has Dvi ports so can I just purchase a DVI to DVI cable and if I do this I hope i do not any problems with the drivers

And no, if the graphics driver is already installed, it doesn't change anything
