Your dock with p/n: 937393-001 and SPS#: 920131-001, according to: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=2EM46AV&searchby=product, requires this charger with p/n: 710413-001 " Smart AC adapter (90 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector - Requires separate 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector - For use with models equipped with discrete graphics (in all countries except India and China)".

This means that you could use pretty much any 90-watt 4.5mm barrel connector ("blue-tip") charger to power your dock:

You can search for one of those on any of your favorite online eCommerce sites in your country.

Hope this was helpful.

That is correct, I just bought a laptop charger with given speicifications and it is enough to power up the dock.

The issue I still have is that the usb-c cable I use to link my laptop to the docking station only provides power to the laptop.

What type of cable is required to link two monitors to my macbook pro m2?

Thank you,
Stefan

@StefanT29,

You would be using two DisplayPort (DP) video cables.

Yes, I have display port cables that connect to the monitors, but probably my usb-c cable that links the laptop to the hub offers only power.

My question is what type of usb-c cable should I use? 3.1, 3.2, thunderport 3, 4?

What specifications should the usb-c cable have?

Thanks a lot!

@StefanT29,

Indeed, not all third-party USB-C cables are created equal to support video or/and charging.  I would go with a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable.
