Hi,
Firstly I know am running very old tech. Regardless i am trying to give a desktop a new lease of life.
It is a 500B microtower running an Intel core 2 quad 9500, Nvidia GTX 750ti and currently 1gb of ram with bios updated. I tried upgrading the memory by buying two Samsung 2gb 1Rx8 PC3 10600U 09-11-A1 RAM chips but the PC keeps beeping when either one or both are inserted but boots very well on the other hand with the native Elpida 1gb 1Rx8 PC3 10600U 09-10-A0.
Please help can it be the CAs latency or is it just being picky.
Thanks

Yeah thats the shocking thing. I did check supported memory specs before I bought them. They were independently checked on another PC so definatly not faulty memory.
HP sayes the 500B supports PC3 10600 (1333mhz). So why isnt the PC3 10600/1333 I got being rejected? Is it a bios issue? How do I fix it

The correct memory modules can be found here.
Sadly, generic modules usually do not work. Memory is made for specific models.
