Something didn't go well when you removed and replaced the memory.

See the troubleshooting guide, Appendix A, page 58 for how to troubleshoot the 5-beep code error:

Did a little more checking.

First I was able to boot into windows using the original 2g memory.

Purchased 3-4gig memory to determine if I corrupted my original 4gig memory.

The system will not boot up with any of the 4gig ram in the num 1 slot

The computer will only boot with the 2 gig original ram. Thee u number on the original ram is10600U and not the 12800U don't know if this makes a difference.

When I added the 4gig several years back I remembered that I had this similar issue but finally was able to get the system to recognize the additional ram. Should I try to get ram that has the same U number

I don't think the DDR3-12800 memory will go back two clock speeds to 1066 MHz.

The is the memory I used in my HP 8000 Elite CMT which is the upscale model of the 6000 Pro--just has a slightly better chipset and supports RAID.
