I'm trying to find out if this computer is compatible with this PCIE SSD?
Seagate FireCuda 520 ZP500GM3A002 500 GB Solid State Drive - M.2 Internal - PCIE
The motherboard is an Asus M2N68-LA.
I have the PCIE x16 available but don't know if the computer is too old for this to work...e.g. is this PCIE generation too old for this SSD?
Also if I upgrade the hard drive do you recommend a SSD, SSD or SSHD? I'm planning on staying with Seagate. I don't game or do much with graphics but have upgraded the graphics card and added wireless. The drive would mainly be for documents and music and video, not editing necessarily.
Thank you!

Hello
your motherboard should be this one
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00906129
it is an old model, therefore not compatible with a m2 type ssd
probably a PCI adapter is needed, but it may be difficult to find a compatible set
your pc is normally this:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00873231
There appear to be hard drive compartments available
I therefore advise you to try a classic ssd sata instead, do not see too big!

As that unit is circa 2007 and originally had Vista OS ,so you should consider the following:
1) Chipset is SATA2 (300) not the newer SATA3 (600).
2) Any hard drive device should not exceed 2.2TB.
