I have an HP Compaq Elite 8300 Microtower, and I would like to know if my motherboard (Hewlett-Packard 3390) supports the Intel i7-3770 processor. Can anyone provide information or direct me to the relevant resources to check for compatibility?

Yes, your PC will support an i7-3770 processor.

While it was not offered in the model series, the i7-3770K processor will also work.

I am currently using BIOS version K01 v03.04. Do I need to update my BIOS in order to be able to use the Intel i7-3770 processor?

There should be no need to update the BIOS, since the i7-3770 was a supported processor when the 8300 Elite was released to market, and BIOS v03.04 is a fairly newer update.
