Hello,
I would like to add a GT 1030 fanless GPU (MSI or Gigabyte) or better a MSI GTX1050 LP to my SFF computer. But when I look in the machine I see a very narrow place to insert such a device on the PCI-e slot.
Is it compatible ? Will there be enough place and enough power ?
thank you
1050 GTX is here (lacks power ?) :

This board may fit but there could be a problem with air flow. Note that it takes two slots
I suspect you would be better off with a single slot with a fan

HP has RX550x that is listed as compatible with your prodesk sff

The 1030 is superior to the 550x according to google

Thank you very much 😃
Wow crazy price !
I discovered that it exists in the Dell world at cooler prices 👹 :

What do you think ?
And what is your opinion on this one I discovered on ebay (1slot, low consumption) :

and it's little sister :

Thank you again

The problem is the 180 watt power supply. The boards listed by HP supposedly are designed for use in your ProDesk405 G6
Other OEM or generic may draw more power and not be compatible.
Your CPU has RYZEN Vega 7 built in which is fairly good.
Here is a gaming comparison of your Vega 7 to other boards. Note that "-" indicates a slower board
https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-RX-Vega-7-Graphics-Card-Benchmarks-and-Specs.450004.0.html
The RX-550 is only %9 better than the built in Vega 7
probably not worth the gaming improvement
I suspect these boards are offered to allow multiple monitors to be attached to enhance desktop productivity instead of gaming
Here is a typical offereing

Download and run GPUz and click on "lookup" to go to a website that can provide comparisons

Thanks,
I forgot to say that it is not for gaming but for graphic design / multimedia and the Ryzen is sometimes lags with 2 screens connected (27" 2560x1440 + 24" 1920x1080).
And I read on some forums that a GPU is most of the time better than integrated graphics (benchmarks are mostly "gaming oriented")
The Radeon Pro WX 2100 is given for 35w :
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-pro-wx-2100.c2979
and the 4100 for 50w :
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-pro-wx-4100.c2874
...and the G6-405 PSU is labelled "do not exceed 210w" (???)

I do not have any ProDesk 4xx type systems. Do they accept a full height full length graphics board?
The boards you pictured earlier are low profile but are shown with a full height bracket. If you buy a new board it would come with the low profile bracket. Occasionally, buying a used board, the seller may no longer have the correct bracket.
Make sure the seller has return policy. Will the w-2100 fit with the lid closed?
Also a warning: Two years ago I bought a fake 1050ti board and was lucky to be able to return it.

Yes thats a risk 😰 How did you recognize the fake board ?
The bracket seems not to be a problem for me. I will verify this with the seller.
GPU-z revealed it was a fake
