Hello Guys,
I'm about to purchase a second hand HP DC7800 SSF Core 2 Duo -2.33GHz. Besides that, I would to buy a graphic card for it and accidently found this one:
My question is, does this graphic card supports HP DC7800 SSF Core 2 Duo -2.33GHz. If incompatible, then what would be the best option?
Your time and advice are much apprecited. Thank you

Hi:
You can actually install the HD 6450 low profile card.
This is the optional video card in the 8200 Elite SFF which also has a 240W P/S.
You can see this related post where someone did just that and the card is working fine--page 3 of the thread.
If you buy any card with HDMI out, make sure you go back into the BIOS > Advanced Menu>Device configuration settings and change the onboard audio setting from disabled to enabled. You save the setting there and again when you exit.
Also make sure you uninstall the video card in the device manager before installing a new card. Don't reboot afterward. Shut down the PC instead, unplug it, press the power button to drain any residual power, and install the new card.
I also believe a GeForce 210 will work OK in your PC too.
The advertised P/S requirements are 300W if that makes you feel more secure.

Hi,
Yes that video card should work (Gigabyte Low Profile ATI HD5450)
This computer has a PCIx16 slot so any low profile PCIx16 video card should work

Hi Charles,
Thank you for your reply. I'm glad to see a computer technician here to give a hand.
I have another question here. The given source stated that HP DC7800 SFF Core 2 Duo -2.33GHz has 240 watts maximum power consumption. Is that the maximum of output power produced from the power supply? If yes, then is it fit with Gigabyte Low Profile ATI HD5450 where the system power supply requirement is 400 watts?
I'm a bit confuse here and wondering if that will be a problem which may causes Gigabyte Low Profile ATI HD5450 to stop working due to insufficinet of power.

You're very welcome.
A good price on that card.
I just hope that specific item comes with the low profile mounting bracket.
I think it does though, because I googled the model and found a 512 MB card that looks exactly the same with the same box it it comes with one.
Looking forward to reading about the results.

Sorry for the late feedback. Anyway, Gigabyte Radeon HD 6450 is working well on HP DC7800 SFF machine. Upgraded the RAM to 4gb and I can play 3D games with no lag issue.
Thank you very much for your hep, Paul. It's much appreciated.
Note: You don't have to worry either Gigabyte Radeon HD 6450 fit with HP DC7800 SFF because it comes with low profile mounting bracket.
