Is there a website where you can check for a HD compatability with your HP system?

Specifically my bios cannot read my SAmsung 860 EVO SATA m.2

Onlne chat is remarking that the following are compatible:

But the 2TB drive is too large?  Can anyone please confirm?  Why would a system be limited by drive capacilty and not type?
