@Turboslayer123,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Short answer: absolutely, you can: your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0073w (2HL14AA) as fitted with a Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B) is compatible with a Samsung 990 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD.

Here is an example of an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0xxx User who achieved a very respectable M.2 NVMe SSD performance result with a Samsung 980 Pro NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/57411068.

As long as you realize that Gen4 or Gen5 M.2 NVMe SSDs will run at Gen3 speeds in your desktop.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
