@Mad4Chip,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

According to the specs, your HP ProDesk 405 G6 SFF (294G6EA) is fitted either with a 180-watt or a 210-watt power supply. I believe it is the 210-watt model -please let me know what you got.

If you got the 210-watt power supply, then yes, the low-profile RTX A2000 should work just fine, as this HP ProDesk 405 G6 Small Form Factor PC User showed: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/69102353.

Kind Regards,

Dear NonSequitur777,

I verified that the power supply was correct and I was buying the graphics adapter, unfortunately the RTX A2000 is not compatible with the HP ProDesk 405 G6 SFF (294G6EA).

The video card could not be fitted into the motherboard as the only PCIE 16x is the one that is very close to the CPU and cannot mechanically fit inside due the fact that the video adapter is two slot large.

I'm a registered HP partner and I bought the card form an authorized distributor, now I'm having trouble trying to return this product to the distributor.

This issue was so bad

Kind regards

@Mad4Chip,

Really sorry to hear this, I truly am.

I went by this HP ProDesk 405 G6 Small Form Factor Userbenchmark User entry: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/69102353, where an RTX A2000 was fitted in this PC.

However, you are correct about the single-slot limit for any graphics card in an HP ProDesk 405 G6 Small Form Factor, and it so happens that there is a single-slot RTX A2000 as seen here, or there is a single-slot aftermarket cooler available, which retrofits any two-slot RTX A2000 into a single slot card: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keAFTWkGX0Q.

I would hope that the authorized distributor will take your card for a refund, as this should be industry practice.

Kind Regards,
