I want to transfer my record collection to digital. Later I want to record either on CD or MP3 player or other portable devices. I have an very good turntable, now I need to purchase a new computer for this purpose plus other regular uses. My computer is very old and I need a new one anyway. I am not very computer savvy so I need help with the computer requirements for the best transfer from vinyl to digital. Please help me understand the Hardware requirements required for the best transfer. Thank you very much just joined the group

There are many software packages that you could use. The basic computer is not an issue.

Hello
indeed, there may not be a need for a computer at a crazy price.
But there are a few points that may be important
If you have a lot of vinyl to convert you would need some storage space, depending.
You can either find a computer with sufficient storage space, or what I would recommend most is to buy an External Hard Drive, if you don't have one.
If I understood correctly, you have a lot of transfers to be made.
You still need a fast computer, otherwise it may take some time depending on the conversion.
An SSD would be a good thing (strict minimum 250 gb)
The processor must be fast enough
and a minimum of 8 GB of memory
Also pay attention to the model, some computers no longer have a burner drive, if you want to create CDs, look closely at what is mentioned
