When I turn on my computer, it stays on for 30 seconds, and then  shuts off.  I only bought it in September!

Greetings @Tigergrrl

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Do you have a Desktop PC or a Laptop?

Disconnect all unnecessary peripherals to see what happens. Only connect a monitor if you have a Desktop PC.

You could check/reseat MB cabling connections and reseat some components such as the: SSD, memory and the discrete graphics card if you have a Desktop PC.

The symptom you are seeing (the PC shuts down after powering on) would suggest some type of hardware problem relating to power delivery if your PC is getting clean AC power and all connections to the PC are good.

You should probably contact HP Support for warranty assistance if your PC was recently purchased in  September, 2024.

Regards

Thanks, Bill. It's a desktop PC. I'm not too sure about taking the machine apart and reseating things.  I will check with HP support tomorrow. It is still under warranty.
