OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-1000i (6J775AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I recently purchased a pre-built OMEN Gaming Desktop with the Intel Core i7-13700 as it's CPU. I notice, that on idle, the CPU get's pretty hot, around 40-60 Celsius (90-140 Fahrenheit) with only around 0-2% utilization. These specs are gathered through the OMEN Gaming Hub app, which came preinstalled with my PC. When running games (I used the game "Stormworks" as a game to test the PC on) I noticed that the CPU stays pretty consistent with around 4-6% utilization and around 60-70 Celsius. Is this normal, or not? Are these temperatures high for my CPU?

Hi @TheCosmoKing

Newer Intel and AMD CPUs tend to run hotter. But the chips are designed to run this way.

Check this YouTube video where der8auer interviews an Intel product engineer.
