I recently purchase a new HP All-in-One 22-c052na, and am really happy with it other than a continual droning / humming noise, even when the pc is idle. Appreciate that there might be some noise, but this is loud enough to be really unsettling. I can mask the noise by playing background music, but that's not always ideal. It doesn't seem to be the fan. Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried to look up the specs, but that number is not listed. What is the product number on the chassis decal, or the original box? Typically AIO units have a single shrouded fan for the CPU that exhausts heat. No other fan is in the case.

As the CPU fan is the only mechanical hardware that is moving at idle, that is the culprit.
BTW, you have an HP ALL-IN-ONE - 22-C0052NA
