OMEN 25L Desktop - GT12-0010na
Microsoft Windows 11

The PC keeps reaching over 95 - 100 degrees when playing cpu intensive games, sometimes it even reaches a point where the pc powers off due to heat, this stops me for using disney+ and steam.
Any coolers or AIO i can throw in it to cool it down massively?

@BotManGlyn,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

The "stock" airflow/cooling in an OMEN 25L Desktop - GT12-0xxx isn't the best.  Here are some YouTube instructional videos how to improve this significantly: Installing A Noctua CPU Air Cooler In My Omen! Complete Tutorial 😎 (youtube.com) and: My Current Modifications! HP Omen 25L! All Mods and Programs I Use! - YouTube:

Any solutions that could utilize a water-cooling AIO?
I reckon that might be best for the cpu.

@BotManGlyn,

What AIO (part number/model) are you using?

A picture of your current AIO config would help me to visualize your setup.

You still should improve the airflow through your case substantially.

Personally, I am no longer sold on an AIO, and a standard/stock AIO may not be the best cooling solution for you anyway.  For example, I tried one in my gaming rig (an "Omen Obelisk Liquid Cooling Fan Radiator Heat Sink" with p/n: L51046-001), and the result was ... underwhelming.  Switched over to a remarkably inexpensive 7-heatpipe PS120SE Thermalright, and my overheating issues melted away (wait: is this a proper analogy?) with my overclocked i9-9900KS:

If you need a hyper/high-performance air cooler on steroids AND on a budget: look no further, this is it. Only drawback for a smaller case (like a 25L), is that it may be too bulky to fit. If it is, perhaps you should consider the slightly more compact Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE or the Thermalright Silver Soul 135 Black.

Would a AMD wraith prism cooler not work with mine?

HP Recommended

@BotManGlyn,

Well, an AMD wraith prism cooler, according to the manufacturer, and I quote: "[is] Perfect for AMD Ryzen processors up to 105W".

So, there you go: could be what you are looking for.

Did I mention that you should still improve the internal air flow in your case regardless?
