Product: Example: HP 500B MT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hi, apparently the core 2 quad Q8300 is Compatible with my hp 500b mt as they share the same socket and chipset, however when adding the cpu I cannot boot or even get to the bios screen, I just get a black screen followed by 1 short beep and 1 long beep. I have tried upgrading the bios, reseating the ram and checking the cpu placement. My old cpu works when switching back. I am beginning to think that the cpu I received is faulty.
