I have myself an hp tg01-1863no, and find it being bottlenecked 45% (using a bottleneck calculator) by the CPU. I was wondering what the best upgrade would be? Overclocking, or maybe a new CPU. I'm not good with computers. I don't have a specific budget, I just want a solution that is the most reliable.

Hi @Catsarecute

Welcome to the HP Forum.

HP specs at this Site reveal your PC has an Intel 10400.

The CPU upgrade options can be reviewed at this HP Site. You can do an Intel 10700 or a 10700F (no integrated graphics on the CPU).

You can compare the two CPUs at this Link. You would have to decide if the CPU upgrade is cost effective. Amazon lists a 10700 at $220.00.

The HP MB in your PC (H470 chipset) does not provide overclocking options. You would need an Intel "Z" MB to overclock an unlocked "K" CPU.

HP does not make Z MBs for your PC.

Regards
