HP Elite SFF (E8400)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I want to insure that the Current Bios listed above is the latest, most correct for my System.

I cannot find it listed anywhere on the HP site.

Can someone tell me if it is the latest and why I cannot find it?

Best regards,

Mike Lynch

I have the 8000 Elite too, and updated to the same BIOS.

The date of the file on the support page will never match the date of the actual file installed on the PC.

The file installed will always be older than what is shown on the support page.

It takes them time to test the driver and BIOS update files, and then post them to the support pages.

Why they don't match them up is beyond me.

Mine states the same info as yours.

Hi:

Please post the product number of your PC.

The product number can be found on the same sticker as the serial number.

There are many different HP Elite SFF models out there.

Hi:

Here is the link to the BIOS revison history for your PC.

v01.14 is the latest version.

Here is what's troubling me as I have never tried to completely update an older computer.

The info I gave you was what I could find from the documents I located.

I'm really unsure what info is relevant vs eye candy.

The info you gave me us understandable but there are differences.

I'd really like to be 100% on this as I doubt if I'll have another chance, I'm really frustrated.

I am cutting and pasting a document segment from Belarc.

Please notice the the Bios # does not have a lower case "a" and notice the date.

The look at the Bios # and the date you found.

The number in one case has the "a" and the dates are different.

Why, I have no idea but again, I want to do it right.

So the two items are in conflict or I am not understanding them correctly.

Belarc:

Board: Hewlett-Packard 3646h
Serial Number: MXL0361GTN
Bus Clock: 1333 megahertz
BIOS: Hewlett-Packard 786G7 v01.14 10/14/2015

Vs:

Version:v01.14 Rev.A (27 Nov 2015)

YIKES!

Which one is accurate?

Thank you!

I would never have known or guessed that but I believe you.

Thanks again for helping me.
