Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Yes you can upgrade memory from 8 GB to 16 GB.
Your PC supports the following memory modules:
- Dual channel memory architecture
- Two 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM sockets
- Supports up to PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600)
- Supports 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB SODIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
I suggest you look at Crucial Memory (Link). Crucial guarantees purchased memory will work in your PC. HP Part Surfer (Link) does not show 4 GB or 8 GB memory modules available for purchase.
Please see this (Link to the HP Services Media Library) describing the service procedures required to install memory modules in your system.
Select the following at the HP Services Media Library :
Desktops,
Envy Desktops,
Envy 24-n000 Envy AIO Desktop,
Select "Service Procedures",
Select "System Memory" and enable Flash.
Watch the video.
