Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a DELL WD15 dock station connected to 2 DELL monitors and an HP Envy laptop via the USB-C display port. The video connection always works but I have to plug in the cable several times before the computer start charging. I never had the same problem when using my DELL laptop so I suppose it could be a problem of compatibility? still I do not understand why it always work although not at first attempt. Any idea?

Sorry no idea because I don't know what is your HP machine. What is it ? 99% is compatible issue, Dell and HP did not use same specs for USB-C ports.

Regards.

I appreciate your comments but If it  was not compatible it will never work? Instead it works after a few attempts, connect and disconnect the cable 3-4 times. It is wired that no error message is displayed. When I connect a DELL laptop It always charges but at times I get an error message in relation to using the right charger (Which I am using).

I was wondering if there is some specs or drivers that can be updated to that the charging functionality is always recognised by my HP laptop.  I believe I have a software problem not a one related to the physical connection of the port.
