This drive isn't working at all, i tried all of the usual things, updating, uninstalling then turning computer off and back on again, but still nada.
See attached screenshot.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go through the steps to fix the problem at the link below:

 

I recommend that you start with methods 5 & 6 first.

 

Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs - Microsoft Support

Thank you so much, that worked a treat.🤗

No Upper fillers, just Lower.  So i took them out, restarted the PC, and it worked.

 

It plays in almost all of my media players.

Except Cyberlink PowerDVD and RealPlayer isn't picking up the video file from the CD-ROM Drive.

Try the free VLC media player from the Microsoft Store and see if that will play the video file from the CD drive:

 

VLC - Download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
