Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

hp HLDS DVDROM DUD1N will read a CD but when I try to write to a Verbatim DVD+R, a blank disk is not recognized.  Device manager reports device is working normally..

Trying to use Windows 11 to create a recovery disk

 

Any help greatly appreciated.

The system will write to a USB CD ROM R/W drive.
