HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hallo everybody,

I recently bought a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0042ng with an internal DVD drive. Its tray has a lid which is part of the cabinet. This lid has become loose and is no longer attached to the tray. I am not able to re-attach it. It is hard to tell whether it just came off or actually broke. Does anybody have a hint?

Thanks und regards,

Johannes

Do you mean the front facia (bezel)  where the button to open the optical drive is?

Is your PC still in warranty? If it is, then it may be covered.

If not, just purchase another 9.5 mm Slim SATA optical re-writer and install it. They are inexpensive.

The original optical drive
