I played a DVD on my HP All-in-one 24-f0066. When I ejected the DVD - the tray came out but the DVD did not. I cannot even see it inside the case. How do I open the computer or remove the DVD tray to recover the disk?

@Hedgehog53 -- how physically strong are you?
Lift your All-In-One, and carefully turn it upside-down.
Close the drive-tray.
Maybe, a little bit of shaking will free the DVD from anything that is restraining it ?
Flip your All-In-One, to turn it right-side up.
The "hope" here is that the DVD will have fallen back into the tray, and will be there when you open the tray.
Otherwise, hire a professional computer technician.

That's a very bad idea
firstly the user, could drop the computer, in this case, it will not be a simple problem of dvd reader anymore
Then, if the dvd stays inside, it may move where it shouldn't, and damage other components.
Only a slight chance that it works for a big risk, if you see this, it's up to you, but avoid this

Your advice is wrong, and it is too late. The author stated that "flipping" the computer has already been tried, without success.
The only remaining option is to disassemble the computer, either by the author, or by hiring a computer technician. Note that the author needs to be strong-enough to carry the computer to the technician's location. That takes more strength than simply "flipping" the computer. 🙂
