I have purchased a ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Graphics Card (does not need dedicated power cable) I got this card as I have a PCIe slot on my HP Motherboard. I have an integrated GPU with my HP pc and wanted to install this extra graphics card so I can run 2 monitors from 1 pc. Installed the new card and it knocked out my integrated card and I could not get a signal from both cards?. I went to the HP BIOS to see if there was an issue with the card, I was told to look under the advanced settings in BIOS but I do not have this option. I have scanned all the BIOS and can see no option in relation to graphics cards. My real question is can i run these two cards?
Thank you

Hi @KEETCHY,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
Unfortunately, you cannot run both the integrated GPU and the ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 simultaneously on your HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1008na due to BIOS limitations. HP consumer desktop PCs typically disable the integrated GPU automatically when a discrete GPU is installed. This is why you lost signal from the integrated GPU after installing the RTX 3050.
Possible Solutions:
Use Only the RTX 3050 for Dual Monitors
- The RTX 3050 can support multiple monitors without needing the integrated GPU.
- Connect both monitors directly to the ports on the RTX 3050.
Check for an Option to Enable Integrated Graphics
- HP BIOS in consumer desktops often does not have an "Advanced" tab or an option to enable both GPUs.
- However, you can check for “IGD Multi-Monitor” or “Internal Graphics” settings under BIOS (if available).
- If no option exists, the integrated GPU cannot be enabled while the RTX 3050 is installed.
Try Enabling Integrated Graphics in Windows
- Some motherboards allow re-enabling integrated graphics via Windows.
- Go to Device Manager > Display Adapters, right-click your integrated GPU, and select Enable (if the option exists).
- Then, check Display Settings (Right-click Desktop → Display Settings) to see if the second monitor is detected.
Use a Display Adapter (If Needed)
- If your RTX 3050 does not have enough ports for both monitors, you can use an HDMI or DisplayPort splitter or a USB-to-HDMI adapter.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
