This model only has USB 2.0 slots in the rear. I want to add a PCI card with USB 3.x. Are there empty slots available in the TE01- 1254. Thanks.

Sorry, we talked about this several times, I still do not understand that for some models, this is no longer the case
There are less and less details and photos, which is very annoying when trying to help someone.
I do not believe it too much, but I will try to search for a picture!

hi
is it this one ?
https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c07868198
it looks like you have
Front I/O ports
- (1) Headphone/microphone port
- (4) USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port (5 Gbps data transfer)
- (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port (5 Gbps data transfer)
not ok ?
Two M.2 expansion slots (1 x PCIe x16 and 1 x PCIe x1)

I was asking because I hardly use the rear ports, I find it impractical
Obviously you should be able to install a pci 1x card

Great!! The pictures were perfect and showed the two PCI slots.
I have found a PCIe to USB 3.2 Gen 2 Adapter Card with 20 Gbps Bandwidth 5-Port (3X USB C -2X USB A) PCI Express Expansion Card 4X. It's probably overkill but I'll never want for USB ports on the back. It's a 4X card so I figure I'll put it in the 16X slot.
Thanks again for you're help.
