Hi HP Support Team 👋

I have a HP All-in-One - 22-c0021a which I am fixing for a client.

The hard drive has completely died and I'm planning on getting a new hard drive to re-install Windows 10.

But I cannot find which specific version of windows was installed on the device (there is no windows licence key sticker on the machine).

HP Serial Number: [Personal Information Removed]

I'm assuming that it most likely came with Windows 10 Home 64-bit (but just want to double check before creating a live media usb)

Do I also need the product key to activate Windows 10 (or does it auto recognise the Motherboard / BIOS version)

Kind Regards,

hanothemano

Hi:

The parts list for the PC indicates that it came with W10 Home.

HP PartSurfer

The W10 product key is encrypted in the BIOS.

You don't need the key to reinstall W10.

Also, the PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with the PC.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support

Since you have to use another PC to install the tool on, you will need to enter the product number for your PC to create the recovery media, which is:  4LY95AA#ABG
