Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP 17cp-000. It came with almost no memory 118 GB and 4gb of RAM. So we I be bought Crucial (2) 8gb DDDR4 3200 sticks of RAM and an MX500 2.5" SSD. After I got in the laptop I realized the existing HD is an HDD about 1"x 2.5" on the opposite side of the laptop. How do I hook up the new SSD?

Manual showing parts is here

Internal view 1 and 2 show the HDD and the memory

Please confirm if you have an m.2 as shown in view 2

and / or a 2.5 inch HDD as shown in view 1

I have what is in picture #1. My laptop has a place for an ssd. I will attach pics. I was told by crucial to order these 2 items but the problem now is i can't find were to plug it in at. There is a space to the left of my battery were an SSD would go.

According to the maintenance manual, page 45-46, the connector for the hard drive is number 8
