New all-in-one with wireless keyboard.
Problem is, the function keys require the FN key to be pressed to actually act as function keys.
Want it to be like a normal keyboard where hitting F2 is sufficient, I don't need to hit FN + F2 for it to work.
I've seen notes about using FN + ESC to toggle the setting, but that doesn't work.
I've seen notes about using FN + CAPS to toggle the setting, but that doesn't work.
I've seen notes about changing the settings in the BIOS, but no setting exists (seems geared towards laptops, so makes sense why not applicable in my case).
Can't seem to find any documentation on this that works and seems like such a basic and common request.
Let me know how it can be achieved.
Thanks.

What keyboard are you using?
I found: http://partsurfer.hp.com/ShowPhoto.aspx?partnumber=928512-001
which describes the factory-included keyboard, but there is no information nor picture for that keyboard.
Is there a 'FN LOCK' button or key somewhere on the keyboard?
Are you willing to purchase a wired keyboard that does have a 'FN LOCK' button?
The following text has been extracted from: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05572131#
For information about system hardware components and the system BIOS version number, press fn+esc (select products only).
Using the action keys or hot keys
You can quickly access information or perform functions by using certain keys and key combinations.
- Action keys—Perform an assigned function. The icons on the function keys at the top of the keyboard illustrate the assigned function for that key. To use an action key function, press and hold the key.
- Hot keys—A combination of the fn key and the esc key, the spacebar, or the appropriate action key. To use a hot key, briefly press the fn key, and then briefly press the second key of the combination.

Part # is 928511-001, came with the computer
No function lock on the keyboard that I can discern.
I know I could buy something that'd work, but would rather make what I already paid money for work properly.
Using the function key with the FN "works" but that isn't what I want to do. I want to just press F2 (or any other function key) and have it be F2's function without press FN as well.
