Your first post indicated that you had a HP Pavilion p6-2110 and not the eb model. You were given the correct information based on the information that you had posted.
And now you want change graphics cards?

Hi,
The onboard video is automatically disabled when a graphics card is installed and recognized by the BIOS.
The NVIDIa GTX 1050 will require a HP version 8 BIOS. You can check the HP Support server for the latest BIOS update if needed.

Hi,
Boot into the BIOS and locate the BIOS level. Alternatively, you can run the HP Support Assistant to find the BIOS level.

Hi,
Your PC will not boot normally using the NVIDIA GTX 1050 unless your PC is running a version 8 BIOS. There may be some keyboard tricks to get the GTX 1050 to boot without a full UEFI BIOS. Look here for the latest BIOS update. Don't use the BIOS update marked for Business level PCs. I do see a version 8 BIOS. Since your PC is running Windows 7, you will not be able to use Secure Boot and your PC will need to run in legacy mode.
The older NVIDIA 5xx and most 6xx graphics cards will work when matched to the correct wattage power supply.

Hi,
HP has posted Windows 8 drivers for your PC which means Windows 8 was certified for your PC.
If you should decide to install Windows 8 then I recommend the following before doing so:
- Create the external HP recovery media.
- Backup your data to external media.
- Use a commerical disk imaging product such as Paragon or Macrum Reflect to image the entire hard drive to external media. Both offer free tools for doing this task.
- Download the HP Windows 8 updates for your PC to external media.
Once Windows 8 is installed, then the HP W8 updates should then be installed. Now your PC should be ready to install the BIOS update.

Hi,
I have Installed winows 8.1 on me pc.
I dowload and opened this setup for the bios :
HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 2ABF) 8.19 A 3.7 MB Jan 12, 2015 (https://goo.gl/EAqInI).
When I open the setup It doesnt ask where to save the files. It automatically saves the files in C:\SWSetup\[sp70375].
There are 3 files in it:
-CU3_819.ROM
-flash
-safuwin
At the end of the setup the hp system bios update utility needs to go open for creating a flashdrive but it doesnt.
It shows this message:

Hi,
Based on the HP bat file script, the update is expecting that the W8 be installed on a UEFI formatted HD. You might want to try the other BIOS update.
HP Instructions are below:
1. Click the Download Only button.
2. At the File Download screen, click the Save button.
3. At the Save As screen, save the file to your Desktop.
4. If a message appears stating that the file already exists, click YES to overwrite file.
5. Double-click the icon for the update downloaded to your desktop, and then click NEXT.
6. Follow on-screen instructions.
7. If prompted to restart the system upon completion of the update, click YES and allow system to restart.
Prerequisites:
- You must be logged on as an administrator to install this update.
- You must have a Microsoft Windows 8 or 8.1 operating system.
Ah, the old HP "Z" partition trick bat exe for the BIOS update that you are trying to use . It's not going to work unless your HD is properly prepared. Frankly, I would copy the rom file to a CD or USB flash drive and then boot up the device. But first, try the other BIOS update.
Once the BIOS is updated then I would suggest that you reinstall W8.1 in UEFI mode. Windows would create the correct partitions in the proper order.
