Hello there,
I recently bought a HP Z400 Workstation and I am very satishfied with it. It currently have 8GB (4 x 2GB) RAM and Intel Xeon W3550 CPU. I mainly do vmware virtualizations and sometimes this amount of RAM is insufficient...Planning to upgrade the CPU and RAM aswell. In my opinion the new configuration could be a six core Xeon W3680 and 32GB RAM (4 x 8GB). According to the product's manual, it supports a maximum of16GB. I think, this information could be, in any way, obsolete. For real, does it support my needs (4 x 8GB)? Does anybody have experience with it?
Thank you in advance.

wrong forum, please search the "workstation" forum as this question has been asked/answered many times before
last, also note that max ram can be limited by the z400 motherboard revision (also covered in that forum)
