I am trying to install a second HDD which is 3TB and it is not recognized in Disk Management. Does my motherboard 3048h support UEFI and if so, do I need to turn it on in the BiOS? What steps do I need to take to get my computer to recognize the 3TB drive so I can format and use it? Thanks!

Hi:
The 1st PC in that model series that has a UEFI Bios is the 6200 Pro.
No BIOS update will convert the legacy BIOS your PC has into a UEFI one.
If you just want to use the 3 TB disk as a storage disk you should be able to format it in GPT and it should be able to be read.
See this HP whitepaper on the subject...
