It is 8gb  and I can looking to see if it will take regular pc ram or will it require sodimm

According to the product specs, your PC comes with the Bohemia motherboard.

 

Below is the link to the Bohemia motherboard specs which contains the memory upgrade information.

The parts list also indicates the installed memory is a SODIMM form factor.
